What is the maximum number of people the house can accommodate?

The house can comfortably accommodate 14 people.

How do I get the keys?

The keys will be handed over with a short tour of the house on arrival. Help and suggestions are available for all sorts of local activities. After hours or return visitors will have access to keys in a coded lock box for their convenience.

Is there internet access?

Full Wi-Fi is available. Passwords will be issued on arrival.

Does every room have an en-suite?

Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin area. The fourth bedroom upstairs also offers a huge bathtub.

Are standard appliances provided or do I bring my own?

The house is equipped with everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible.  If there is anything very specific that you are considering, you are welcome to message the property manager to check.

How many rooms are there in the house?

There are 4 bedrooms (2 main bedrooms and 2 family bedrooms). Please have a look at the sleeping arrangements.

How Much Are Cleaning Services?

Standard cleaning services are before and after you leave. Extra cleaning service can be provided at an extra cost of R550 per day but with advanced warning, especially over peak season.

Is there a pool and is it safe for children?

There is a small pool on the property. This has a protective cover which should be used when small children are visiting. Children should be supervised at all times.

Is the property pet-friendly?

Unfortunately, the property is not suitable for pets

Is smoking allowed inside?

Unfortunately not. We ask that you please make use of the designated outdoor smoking area.

Does the house have air-conditioning?

Unfortunately not, but air-conditioning is not required as the house was built to regulate temperatures in accordance with the outside. You will find the house both cool on those hot summer days and warm on crisp autumnal evenings.

Are activities included in bookings?

Activities will need to be booked separately but can be enquired about up front when booking as assistance will be offered.

What activities do you offer in winter and summer?

Do guests get discount prices for activities?

Unfortunately not, as these are booked directly with suppliers in order to suit your needs. If there are any specials, you will be made aware of these.

If we do not want to book an activity, are we still allowed to use equipment on site?

At this point, there is nothing supplied with the house. Should this change then these will be shown on the site.

Is the house close to restaurants?

Yes, between 1km to 25 km depending on your preferences.

What happens in the event we cannot make it to a scheduled activity?

Each supplier will have their various terms and conditions as well as direct contact information for this.

How far in advance do I need to book activities?

We would suggest as far in advance as possible but also allow for flexibility due to weather and holiday spirit giving you some freedom of planning

Should I have my own transport?

It is ideal to have your own transport. This can be hired in Cape Town, at the airport or locally in Langebaan. Airport shuttle to and from Langebaan can be arranged. There are no local taxi or transport services in Langebaan itself and there is no public transport in this small town. Best to hire a car either in Cape Town on arrival in Langebaan itself. Help can be provided. As this is a small town, you can get around by (hired) bicycle but be warned – the house is at the top of a hill!

How far in advance do I need to book?

We would suggest as far in advance as possible but also allow for flexibility due to weather and holiday demand.

What is the longest period I can book for?

As long as you need to relax, the house will be available.

What is the shortest period I can book for?

The minimum stay is 2 nights as this accommodates a Friday and a Saturday to allow for a weekend getaway.

Do I get my money back if I cancel?

Cancel up to 7 days before your trip and get a 50% refund. Cancel within 7 days of your trip and the reservation is non-refundable.

Am I still liable for the reservation fee if the cancellation was out of my control?

Unfortunately yes, as we could have secured a booking with another family.

What time can I check in?

Anytime between 3pm-9pm.

What time is check out?

NB: Check out is at 8 pm so you have the entire day to relax.

What is the preferred means of payment on the website?

PayPal, as it is internationally recognised and trusted.

Do I need to pay the full amount up front or a percentage?
